Peter Adelman was graduated magna cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was made a Belkin Scholar, and elected Articles Editor of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal. After graduation, Mr. Adelman was tapped for a position with the small and highly selective Criminal Appeals Bureau of the Legal Aid Society, where his practice focused exclusively on appellate drafting and argument. He left the Appeals Bureau to accept a federal judicial clerkship with the Honorable Barbara S. Jones in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Prior to establishing his firm in 2010, Mr. Adelman engaged in twelve years of private practice, first at a leading commercial litigation boutique in New York City, and then in the litigation department of a prominent international law firm.
Mr. Adelman served as a member of the faculty of the Benjamin N.Cardozo School of Law as an adjunct professor in the school’s Lawyering Skills and Legal Writing Program from 2010 to 2013.
